Hello Fellow Travellers

My name is Vernon and my wife’s name is Lily. We have just completed day one of a 5 week outback adventure which will take in Dubbo, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Longreach, Mt Isa, Barkley homestead, Tennants Creek, Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, kynuna, Cooper Pedy, Port Augusta, Mildura, Euchuca, Colac Colac and back to Sydney, via Albion Park Rail to see Ben and the team.

We will report on road conditions,  fuel availability and consumption, campsites we stayed at and give them a rating from 1-5 and of course take pics of the places we visit.

We are doing this in our long wheelbase VW Transporter Discoverer,  which we bought new from Campervans Australia last September. Can’t fault the vehicle or the fit out, but the stand out feature has to be the dealings with Ben and the whole team. An absolute pleasure to deal with not to mention the ongoing support and friendship.

Day one sees us in Dubbo at Westview caravan park. Very clean and friendly but the deal breaker for us was the stupid push in light switches in the amenities block, Lily went in and found an elderly lady with a Walker left in the dark because she took to long.

Attached are some pics of the drive up and one of Lily and myself to put a face to the names. I’m sure the pics will get a whole lot more interesting real soon.
